Trans Birth Class

A live online class that engages birth, queerness & trauma. Non-binary Palestinian midwife Ash Dasuqi frames the birth process with fear engagement, neuro-regulation science and skills, attachment theory and evidence-based knowledge. With 12 hours of dense interactive content for pregnant folx, support people, and doulas/birthworkers, you will absolutely feel much more ready to embrace birthing & parenting by being more informed, more equipped to advocate for yourself/protect your and baby’s safety, and powerfully move through this transformational & raw experience to welcome your child into connection and grounding.

“This was the most supportive, inclusive, and nonjudgemental birth class we found. I’m so grateful to Ash. @embodied.birth ‘s ability to hold space in the context of systems of oppression and trauma was beautiful. It made us feel so well prepared and informed to advocate for ourselves in so many different scenarios throughout the birth process. I really can’t recommend their class enough.”

— Dei Dill (they/them), Sept 2023

“[I experienced this class as] so helpful, very knowledgeable, lots of honest unbiased information, and so so affirming to be in a space that was specifically designed for us as trans and queer parents rather than us just being an after thought or addition.”

“Seeing how the baby's head moves through the pelvis really helped me understand why birth can take a long time and helped me reframe how to think about the pain. I also really benefited from their teachings and about the placenta and understanding why bleeding occurs when it separates from the uterus. The fear exercise helped me feel empowered to address fears instead of pushing them under the rug. The chestfeeding section was super helpful, I've been reading a lot but this felt like even better information. I also really liked the raising a child section.”
